Biography:
Marshall Rubin, well known Northern artist,opened his first studio in Oldham St Manchester,on the top floor of an old Burton's building in 1976.
It was during this period that his work was first accepted by the Royal Portrait Society in London, and it was in these early years that he worked on several prestigious portraits for actors, such as the very talented , and famous comedy film star Ian Carmichael, the great Diva Yoko Wanatabe, who sang the part of Madam Butterfly at Covent Garden, Mary Chipperfield of the Chipperfield Circus organisation,the very popular rock star Paul Young of Sad Cafe and Mike and the Mechanics.
In more recent times he has completed some very large canvasses for "Clowns International" where a recent Exhibition of this work was exhibited in Western Super Mare, Leigh, and Manchester.
